It's not the firmware problem, but an incompatible chipset. The "plus" 
products use an Texas Instruments chipset as far as I know, and up to 
now it seems that there are not linux drivers available. Let us know 
about your success with trying orinoco_cs, but I'm not very optimistic 
regarding this.
