No sigal info with orinoco_cs in ad-hoc mode?

hello,

forgot to say what card i am using:
Jan  1 02:58:23 localhost cardmgr[87]: socket 0: Compaq WL110 PC Card
on the card it says
"lucent technologies", "ieee 802.11 wavelan", "turbo 11mb" and "silver".
