Tx timed out! Resetting card

This is a very similar message to what I get now when my network goes
offline (the linux box goes off, none of the windows boxes go off). I have
worked around it by setting up a ping script that pings a host that is very
reliably there. If the host does not respond, then I re-set the encryption
key and it begins working again.
This behavior started ever since I updated the Lucent firmware to 8.1. I was
going to try the latest orinoco_cs driver but after spending lots and lots
of hours upgrading to RH7.2, I found out that I needed to upgrade my kernel
to something higher than 2.4.7-10 and it was there that I just got worn out.
Maybe next week.
Anyway, if you reset the encryption key, your network will probably be
working again. Sorry this isn't a permanent fix, but it will probably get
your demo up.
