WPC11 issues with wvlan vs orinico/hermes

You might want to look at upgrading slackware 8.1 using the
slackware-current tree.
Its not that hard to do with the new package management system.
Help can always be found with basic Slackware tasks in the #slackware
channel in irc.openprojects.net

I'm running a WAP-11 linksys access point with the WPC11 card.  The
output of iwconfig indicates "managed" mode.  The message I get when the
driver is loading for the firmware version is this

wvlan_cs: Found firmware 0x8 (vendor 0) - Firmware capabilities :
0-0-0-0-0

I've not fiddled with firmware on the AP or the card, and I just
re-tested inserting the orinoco module back to test, only 12k transfers
but I dont see any errors from iwconfig/ifconfig either.

There doesnt seem to be an error type messages when the modules are 
loading, however I might be wrong on this.  I have pasted the 
iwconfig/ifconfig output below.  I dont see any transfer errors when
running the orinoco/hermes combo, just the slowness.
