I am not even sure you can still buy 40 Bit cards anymore. I know I haven't
seen one from any of my vendors in about a year.
There are several ways to break WEP. Only 1 or 2 end in you ever getting or
needing the Key. WEP is stream cipher, so pretend this is the Matrix... the
trick is to realize there is no key.

Okay so the key can be obtained irrelevant of the hardware you use, however

would assume, and so did Alex I guess, that if you easily want to
subsequently
read all data going over the wireless network using 128 bit encryption, you
need a card that supports 128 bit encryption, if you have obtained the key
bit do not have a card that supports it how easy is it to use that key to
read
the traffic on the network?
