Hi,
I can not get Orinoco Silver card to work on my laptop. I am running RedHat
7.1. I have tried kernel and stand-alone PCMCIA drivers, and several kernels
(2.4.9, Redhat packaged 2.4.9-6, 2.4.13) and the result is always the same:
either the driver fails to load properly, or the machine crashes. Here is what
I get in /var/log/messages if the machine doesn't crash:
Oct 24 22:55:37 ml cardmgr[605]: initializing socket 1
Oct 24 22:55:37 ml cardmgr[605]: socket 1: Lucent Technologies WaveLAN/IEEE
Adapter

type (0xffff)
Oct 24 22:55:37 ml kernel: hermes @ 0x140: Truncating LTV record from 131068
to 8 bytes. (rid=0xfd20, len=0xffff)
Oct 24 22:55:37 ml kernel: eth1: failed to read MAC address!
Oct 24 22:55:37 ml kernel: orinoco_cs: register_netdev() failed
Oct 24 22:55:38 ml cardmgr[605]: get dev info on socket 1 failed: Resource

Any suggestion would be welcome.
Thanks,
Milos
