I have a RH 7.1 (2.4.2 kernel) and RoamAbout PCMCIA cards and
PCI to PCMCIA bridges (TI1410 chip).

I installed precompiled drivers from Enterasys and I can succesfully load
the pcmcia and driver.

status from iwconfig:
eth1 RoamAbout 802.11 Channel:3
Link Quality:0/92 Signal level:-102 dBm Noise level:-102 dBm
          Rx invalid nwid:0 invalid crypt:0 invalid misc:0

But when I try to unload the interface
/sbin/ifconfig eth1 down

the system freezes realy hard.

I have to press the RESET button.

Is there any way to solve this problem?

Regards,
Gregor
