orinoco.cs installing problem!?!

Due to problems with a card that resets itself all the time we are trying to
install the orinoco.cs module.
There seems not to be sufficient documentation for how to do that though ?

How / Where do we compile the driver ?
OR
what feature should we enable in the kernel to be able to compile the module
directly from the kernel source ?

We have firmwhare 7.52 on the cards.
It's a multiprocessor Redhat 7.1 with 2.4.7 Kernel
We are using pcmcia-cs 3.1.28
