Joining to windows 2003 domain

I am using suse 9.1, and have downloaded the latest RPMs that I found
(3.0.11-2.1). When I try to join the domain (through yast) I get:

Error domain join verification (reused connection): STATUS_BUFFER_OVERFLOW

Unable to join domain [domain]

Has anyone seen this error before that could help? I have used suse's
built in distro, an upgrade of their own distro through suse updater, and
the specially for suse versions on the samba web site.

The only previous request that really matched this one was one where it
was suggested gentoo didn't like the way something was compiled. I don't
think that to be the case in this situation. But here is the link anyways:
