smbfs vs. cifs

Replying to my own mail:

>   mount -t cifs -o username=Administrator,password=**** //winbox/c /mnt/winbox/c

To correct the weird permissions, I found some nice options:

mount -t cifs -o username=Administrator,password=****,file_mode=0644,dir_mode=0755 //winbox/c
/mnt/winbox/c

I'd still like to know what everything thinks about cifs.
