Lets see if I understand this correctly:

You were running Samba 4.8.9 as an AD DC on Centos 7 (it also sounds like you only had the one DC)

You upgraded to Samba 4.17.2 on Centos stream 9

You added another DC using Samba 4.17.2 on Centos stream 9

You removed the second DC from the network, how and why did you do this ?
