Thanks for the quick response, currently I'm on version 4.12.3, bug report does show this was worked on at that version but a second note on 4.13.3 also looked related.
I'll upgrade  to 4.13.3 in the morning and test again based on BUG 14515

What version of Samba ? This looks like a bug that got fixed (and released) recently.
