You should probably ask for that if it isn't in a debug package
somewhere. You do want that anyway as you really need the full
symbols.

set the panic action as mentioned in the smb.conf and wait until it
fails again. This time the logs will include more detail on where it
failed.
Check it over for sensitive info then put that on a bug.
