I dumped everything I could think of collecting that MIGHT be a lead on
where that fails to be the case.  Even debug level 10 for the net ads join
command doesn't provide any clues for me.

I also don't have a working example to interrogate for differences in the
output of the things I thought to check.

All I know is it's broken; seems to break where I indicated given the
extremely annoying to repeat 15-20 min timeout, and my attempts to do
similar things on the domain with other tools DO work; so I don't know why
it's failing there or what Samba needs to work.
