I would recommend Manning or Packt for the English edition.
Manning has over the top marketing, and I occasional review books for
them. I would be willing to work on this as a reviewer and can contact
my editor, but don't think I can commit the time to doing the
translation myself, particularly since I'm meticulous and will find
things to nitpick about precision, flow, clarity, etc.. I've informally
written a couple of math books and know how much work this is.
Packt is nice because they have very inexpensive yearly subscriptions
that afford you access to all their books. I use my Packt subscription
all the time. They also do targeted marketing, so I frequently see their
books advertised in my browser tabs. Not sure how they are to work with
as an author.
But, yes: don't put a down payment on a Chalet in the Swiss Alps just
yet unless you were also an early bitcoin investor.
Rowland is one of the foremost Samba experts and would be the ideal
candidate for this. Bonus: he can start telling people on the Samba list
to "just read the book". Sales will go up. <:)
