[Samba] Relation between sessions, smbd processes and opened connections to OpenLDAP socket

Hello,
Is there any Samba documentation that explains what is the relation between number of connected client sessions and opened connections to OpenLDAP socket /var/run/ldapi ?
Does Samba run new fork of smbd process for every client session ?
