Correct, that doesn't work in Samba.  Funny story: I was tasked with
this at one point, and instead found that windows let each new machine
account that was created also create 10 machine accounts.  Oops.

They fixed that.  The logic is now much more complex and Samba hasn't
been funded (bluntly) to implement that.  (And whoever does it will
need to be incredibly careful not to introduce security holes while
doing so - eg making DCs rather than workstations).
