That is your problem right there 'zfs', POSIX ACL's do not work on
it, FreeBSD has had problems, perhaps they have fixed the problem and a
search will find help.

I would suggest you use a different filesystem that does support POSIX
ACL's, you should not rely on ntvfs, it isn't built as standard from
Samba 4.5.0, so you could upgrade your distro and find your DC has died.
