It depends on whether you are using OS Samba packages or compiling
Samba yourself.
If OS packages, it depends on the OS.
If self-compiled, it depends on the configure PREFIX option.

It ultimately boils down to /path/to/private/sam.ldb

Can I ask why you need to know ?
