Hi,

We recently implemented Samba AD DC using 4.7.0 with two servers in one
location and another server in another location. All necessary ports are
opened in firewall. While the two Domain Controllers in one location
working perfectly with all replications, the one at a different location
is throwing up samba_dnsupdate: update failed : NOAUTH error. While
adding this server at a different location as a domain controller, it
did not throw any error. When we start the samba-ad-dc service, it
starts properly, but with in few moments, it starts throwing up
"samba_dnsupdate" error.

Actual error in log:

[2017/11/07 18:06:00.******, 0]
../lib/util/util_runcmd.c:324(samba_runcmd_io_handler)
  /usr/local/samba/sbin/samba_dnsupdate: update failed: NOAUTH
.
.
.
[2017/11/07 18:06:01.*****, 0] ../source4/dsdb/dns/dns_update.c:290
(dnsupdate_nameupdate_done)
../source4/dsdb/dns/dns_update.c:290: Failed DNS update - with error
code 26

Can someone help to correct this error?

When two servers in a single location is working without any issues, the
third one at a different location is throwing this error, it appears
that this may not be a problem with samba but something else. Not able
to figure out the actual issue. Hence this request.
