[Samba] Cant access AD shares with FQDN

You could start by giving us a lot more info, I say this because it 
works for me:

rowland at devstation:~$ smbclient \\\\dc1.samdom.example.com\\netlogon
Enter rowland's password:

What are you connecting from ?
What version of Samba are you running ?
any else you think may be relevant.
