Hi *,
has anybody sucessfully build a Samba 4.2 ADS Domain and is able to
login from Windows 8.1 Clients after a successful Domain join?
After an Upgrade from Sernet 4.1.17 we are unable to login with Win 8.1
Clients: They seem to hang within the login process. (We needed an
Update because the following Bugs in 4.1:
https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11097
https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11130)
- The password check works / tested with a false password
- Then the Win 8.1 Client stays at the Welcome Screen with the spinning
points running
After a while I restarted the Samba server processes - samba-ad-dc
restart - and the win 8.1 client continues the login process.
I built samba with the following options:
--enable-fhs --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc --localstatedir=/var
--without-systemd
I tried several sources, all with the same results: samba 4.2 tarball,
from git tag samba-4.2.0
Next try will be with branch v4-2-test, but I think there is another
problem. We regognized that the GPO's are not set up. Maybe there is any
issue known?
Any help? Please...
Thanks,
schnaggy:-)
