OK, I thought that this could be your problem, you are not allowed to 
use the same name for two 'objects' in AD, users, groups, computers etc 
are all objects as far as AD is concerned. You need to change one, 
either un-join the computer and rename etc and then join it again or 
probably better, delete your user and rename it.
