Apparently if you have a new enough version of SSSD (1.12.0 or newer), 
there is some support for GPO controls.  They appear to be limited to 
allow/deny login rights:

I don't know the status with any other distros, but this is supposed to 
make it into Fedora 21, due for release in few weeks:
