[Samba] Problem joining win 2008r2 std. server to samba3 (centos6)

Hi Marc,

First thing to consider is whether or not you're running SP1. The domain join can be done without SP1 but SP1 addresses some of the issues you might see.

1. install SP1
2.  Looks like you already did this but  verify you have the reg settings set in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\LanmanWorkstation\Parameters
"DomainCompatibilityMode"=dword:00000001
"DNSNameResolutionRequired"=dword:00000000

3. Make sure you are using compatible authentication negotiation.
I like to set client NTLMv2 auth = Yes in my SMB.conf and set the Windows clients to accept NTLMv2 only.

4. It's not necessary but can be depending on your network config you might need to ad your SAMBA server to the WINS servers list on your Windows clients.
