[Samba] winxp + sp3 = samba-shared printer hangs the system

Is this with the cups drivers or manufacturer ones ?
I would clean all the installed print drivers from the effected systems and connect again. Also is the print spooler busy on the clients because it can be caused by the xps virtual printer from office

I'm not sure if it's a samba issue or really an XP client issue. If you
google xp sp3 slow printing you see a few people having this problem,
not just with samba...
