[Samba] SOLVED - Oplocks not taking place at all unless fake oplocks = yes

The only thing that might clash is a backup agent running on the server, which would be only reading the files.  That should be OK, right?

If Linux processes (other than smbd) try and access
the files at the same time as Samba then without
kernel oplocks they may clash. If you don't have
simultaneous data access (ie. all client access is
via Samba) then there's nothing to worry about.
