Just an idea, did you try to setup a "print command"
and redirect it to /dev/null? Instead of using cups-api with
Samba or setup a Printer with /dev/null, you could setup a
printer to run a command and then redirects it to /dev/null,
not sure if it is going to work. Good luck.
