[Samba] Login and drop connection

Good Afternoon.

Just when I think that I about have this whipped.  I get this scenario.

Samba 3.0.13 on SuSE 9.3
Windows client: W2000

I attempt to login and I receive the following on the client:

The following error occurred attempting to join the domain cmc
Login Failure: unknown user name or bad password

But in the log I receive the following set of messages:

[fparks] succeeded

I'm sure that someone has run into this before, but I can't find anything.
