I just did a search for all instances of desktop.ini and removed them.
Although I don't have the profiles on the domain server, when I setup
new Windows PCs I copy in a basic profile in which i had previously
removed the desktop.ini file
This bugged the hell out of me for awhile because it showed up in every
program files menu, quick launch, desktop, and startup folder.
Removing all instances in the profile of it fixed this issue for me and
I haven't had any problems.
