That's wonderful. I'd tried doing that with symlinks and NFS mounts 
but there were some locking issues with Office documents. My aim was 
to have a single, company wide, G: drive that looks the same to 
everyone, but with stuff physically located (as far as practical) on 
a server local to the users who'll be using it - it looks like msdfs 
will do it for me.

Now all I need is a spare weekend to test it and set it all up :-(
