There's no so much a defined library for using Samba's
functionality.  But the server code does allow for adding
new SMB ops and rpc code fairly easirly.

If you are interesting is modifying and/or developing
Samba code, I would suggest bring it up on the samba-technical
mailing list (the developer list).
