You have to activate "DeleteRoamingCache"
in HKLM:Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\winlogon
You can do this with server policies (NTConfig.pol on Netlogon share)
Unfortunately this is often not enough ( particularly if you are using office)
You need to install the "User Profile Hive Cleanup Service".
Expert from the README file:
UPHClean v1.5e readme.txt Updated March 4, 2004 by Robin Caron
All feedback appreciated to uphclean at microsoft.com
WHAT IS UPHCLEAN
UPHClean is a service that once and for all gets rid of problems with user profile not unloading.

It depends on how you are deploying them.
We are using an imaging system ( Rembo ).
All machines are using the same machine password and are not allowed to change it.
Adding new machines is just a matter of copying entries of an existing
one and modify machine names.
If you are using a more conventional way of deploying, you need to create an
account with right to add machines to the domain on the samba server
( root on previous samba versions) and modify your install scripts accordingly.
