In your case, I don't think it matters, since both addresses are of
the same machine - you should be able to use either address for any
client.

It is quite OK (and normally required) for some of your clients to
talk to a WINS server that is on a different subnet - that's what IP
routing is there for, to get packets from one network to a machine on
another.
