1) What you are doing is a security risk. Any box with an unprotected Internet connection should never have services on it which are "internal only" to your LAN.

2) If you insist on this practice you need to define to Samba what interfaces to bind to in the smb.conf, and also lock that sucker down with a tight IPTables configuration. But then again, PC's are 
cheap so refer back to rule #1 and build a proper firewall box.
