[Samba] Samba domain trouble

Hi,
not absolutely sure whether this is a samba or a OS issue. After joinning a
Samba domain (2.2.12) with XP or Win2k with the adduser script
/usr/sbin/useradd -d /dev/null -g machines -c 'Machine Account' -s
/bin/false -M %u
the group machines disappears and a reboot failed with the error dup2 bad
file descriptor.

Thanks for your suggestions how to stop this
