All,

I'm a little stuck. I've tried searching through the archives with no
success. I'm trying to get Samba 3.0.2a to use LDAP simply to do
username & password validation. I don't want to save the samba
information in LDAP. I built samba with the following options:

./configure --with-acl-support --with-automount --with-ldapsam
--with-logfilebase=/var/samba/log --with-quotas
--prefix=/usr/local/samba

After configuring the smb.conf file I try to start smbd and get the
following message:

ld.so.1: /usr/local/sbin/smbd: fatal: libldap.so.2: open failed: No such
file or directory

>From truss, it's telling me that it can't find the libldap.so.2 in
/usr/lib and in fact the file isn't there. Can anyone help me out?

TIA
