What makes you say that?
encrypt passwords = yes is the default in your smb.conf file, and does
not play any role in our client code.
'client plaintext passwords = no' can be set, to avoid the client code
sending a plaintext password to server, but we will always use the
encrypted password when the server asks it too.
The wbinfo output refers to what could be called 'pre-encrypted' and
'post-encrypted' passwords. The 'plaintext' passwords are simply
encrypted in winbindd.
