[Samba] win2k machines on samba PDC run apps very slow until NIC Unplugged

I am running samba 3.0 as PDC(3.0.1 had a bug that caused problems).

3 of the win2k machines run local apps, such as word and stuff, very slow, unless I unplug the network cable, then immediately they start running fast.

The PDC is also set as primary internet DNS(for caching) and wins server.

any ideas?
