[Samba] Win98 computer is logged in as john Doe.

The user name on the win98 computer is John Doe.  But
linux apparently does not allow spaces in user names.
Is this problem insurmountable?

Also I am trying to connect to the win98 box from a linux
box.  There seems to be alot of documentation on connecting
from windows to linux, but very little from linux to windows.

Where would this documentation be?
