I wouldn't get too attached.  It was later realized that
cracklib suffers from the problem of calling exit(1)
under certain failure conditions.  So the feature will be
removed before the final 3.0.3 release.  The plan is to
replace it with a scripted interface.  abartlet has taken
ownership of this.  So I do not know if he will be done
in time for 3.0.3.
