[Samba] 64 KB gets "spooled" from windows?

Hey guys,

I got a lexmark printer hooked up which works perfectly through
smbclient on the server and also through "echo Hello^L >
\\andalay\LEXE210" on the winxp client. However, when I try to print
something through xp through an app (example IE), 64KB gets reported as
spooled in the printer manager in windows and then an error shows up
(the manager actually says Error - Printing or something similar).My
guess is that there is some sort of 64 kb buffer in windows and nothing
actually shows up for samba but that is just a guess.

Can anyone understand what is going on? I am confused as hell. Here is
my printer section of smb.conf:

[LEXE210]
	path = /var/spool/samba
	writable = no
	guest ok = Yes
	public = Yes
	printable = Yes
	printer name = LEXE210

I have checked that the path variable is chmoded 777 so I dont think
that is the problem. Also note that smbclient \\SERVER\LEXE210 works
fine for printing (i.e., I put a file to the printer).

If any of this is unclear please ask for clarification please. If you
have any tests I can run on the windows client, I would appreciate that
as well.

Thanks,

Sohail
