[Samba] Performance Issues With Samba and RedHat 8.

Ross,

you can try to do an lsmod to see if there are e1000
module (Intel) or Broadcom module loaded. Or you can
do a grep -i e1000 (or grep -i broadcom) from your
messages file to determine if broadcom/intel NICs are
on.

In my old site I used to have similar problems as
yours. A lot of heavier debugging yielded nothing.
Only resolution for me then was to restart smbd (bad
idea, in particular during day times when many users
have opened files on the samba share).

I hope other people can help on this as well.
