Thank you for your reply.

I had a look at that wins.dat-file, and indeed; no entries for those hosts.

I was hoping that the lines:
   remote announce = 192.168.64.255
   remote browse sync = 192.168.64.1
in _THEIR_ smb.conf would sync their browselists with my wins-server.
Or not?
