[Samba] irix and samba

Hello,
    We have an IRIX 6.5 with samba 2.2.0 installed but there is no smbmount
or smbfs support.  The man pages seem to be on the machine, but when we type
man smbmount there are no pages.  the smbmount and smbclient, etc are not
recognized as commands.  Do you have any solutions for us.  We are Windows
based with a couple of irix machines that we want to use smbmount.  Should
we install the latest version of samba to resolve our problem?
