[Samba] Is 2.2.8 generally slower than 2.2.1?

No I'm not aware of any problems like this. Samba 2.2.1a definately
has some bugs that 2.2.8a corrects. Can you give me details on exactly
how you are doing the file copy test so I can try and reproduce
it here ?
