[Samba] Opened file problem when saving

Hi,
I use samba 2.2.8 on Linux 2.4 (RH7.3).
On this samba server, I open an XLS file in Excel 2000 on Win2k. It
stays opened the whole day.
When I want to save it, it tells me that the file can't be saved on the
server! I then save it on C:\ and all is OK. Then copying on the share
is OK. The problem is only when saving in Excel/Word or MsProject.
A same problem arise when opening the XLS file from the share.
Sometimes, the file can't be opened, waiting 30 seconds to say that file
is not available. Copying it to C:\ and then opening it works.
That arises sometimes, not all the time... Unable to say when it's bad
and when it's ok...
Any idea?
