Dear all

Of coarse, everything was working ok- but

after i upgraded from 2.2.7 to samba 2.2.8a-1 now it seems that i have
lost the cupslib support.

 the log gives me this:

[2003/07/24 09:11:46, 0]
rpc_client/cli_spoolss_notify.c:spoolss_connect_to_client(79)
  connect_to_client: Can't resolve address for BO1868-6567

[2003/07/24 09:12:44, 2] smbd/server.c:exit_server(511)
  Closing connections

the line: unable to open printcap file cups for read

my smb.conf file has this

   ; --- printing ---
   printing            = cups
   printcap name = cups
# printcap name = /etc/printcap
show add printer wizard = yes

   load printers = yes

when i do a ldd '/usr/sbin/smbd' i do not get the CUPS library support
according to kurt pfeifles manual chapter 19/page 195

When i change in smb.conf the setting printcap name = /etc/printcap the
printing works but without cups.

Can anyone out there give me a hint how i can activate the CUPS support
in samba again.

we are using RedHat 9.0, samba 2.2.8a and cups 1.1.19

Appreciate any help.
