R: [Samba] Windows 2K roaming profiles

 I did that before i sent the mail. But my problem is strange..let me explain..

 The computer existed before i installed the samba server..The user was using the login as 'administrator' user, and had alot of stuff. Later on i changed the 'administrator' login as the "user account name" say  tom, on the server. Now he logs on into his machine(no samba till now), as 'tom' but will be able to get/use the profile he created, when he was logging in as "administrator".

 Later on i installed the samba server for domain logon with local profile. I disabled roaming profile for both windows 9x, 2000, Xp machines by setting
 logon path=
 logon home=

 Even then when he logs in as 'tom' to join the domain, instead of using the local profile(which was as "administrator" b4, later on 'tom', its creating a temporary localprofile. 

 I would like to know the simple solution for this. How should i handle this

You have two way I think. One is to manually copy the local profile to the server. The second is to disable roaming profile. I' ve done this yesterday beacuse I don't have too much space on my server and because leaving profiles on the server take quite a long time at shutdown to synchronize server and client temporary profile. To disable the roaming profile just put this line :

logon path =

Remember to not comment out this line. In fact the roaming profiles are enabled by default, If you whish to disable 'em just use the line above.

 One of the users had a widows 2k machine which he is using for a long time. I have installed samba as the domain logon server with roaming profiles. The problem is when the user logs on to the server, since he doent have a profile yet on the server, a temporary profile is copied in the local machine when he logs on and sent to the server. I dont want this behaviour as he already have lots of settings on his machine.

 Is there anyway to disable roaming profiles on windows2k so that it will logon to the server but will get local profiles instead..or a way to copy already existing profiles to the server...
