[Samba] SLES7, Clearcase and Samba

I am busy testing Clearcase on SLES7 on an IBM z900 mainframe.

 

I have set up samba v2.2.0 to be part of the corporate domain and have done
user mappings which works fine.  

 

Whenever I try to create a file in one of the shares with the correct
permissions, the systems stops responding in every way, http, ssh
everything.  I can still ping the machine however.

 

Any help will be appreciated.
